Why am I here?

Hehe, actually, if you haven't figured it out yet, this is a test of sorts. Yes, well, just think of it as a little challenge for now. ;] The test comprises of basic comprehension skills, meaning the ability to read and understand simple concepts and basic instructions. At the end of this erm, 'test', you will find out for yourself if you passed or not. If ever you fail, don't worry, we, your gods and goddesses, allow re-takes for as many times as you want! >:>
Why would I want to join in the first place?
Because you love manga, and because of that, by property of transitivity, we'll love you as well. ^_^ The more people there are in this wikommunity Can I call it wikity!??!! I want to, I want to..! 0_o Um, urrr… what was I saying? Ah, the more people joining, the more you will feel more loved and by more people! Simple, ne? 6_^
Huh? I didn't answer your question? Ah, you thought I was BS-ing you. hahaha Honestly, you should want to join this community because of love. Yes, love. We love manga so much we write reviews of it to guide our dear brethren to the proper paths of manga worth reading. We love our brethren so much we share manga information and resources with them. So, isn't love enough of a reason to join? ;}
Why did you make a wiki, instead of say, forums?
Good question. The reason is simple, and if you really want to know, highlight everything after this. It is simply because we wanted to learn the wiki syntax, we wanted to try making/managing a wiki. The first time we encountered a wiki, it was like.. "Woah, suge~ yo!!" The fact that content is so dynamic and the format is so pliable really appealed to us. See, told ya it was plain and simple. Manga Addiction gives no BS. We hope that in time, you'll be used to the wiki syntax as well… 9.9 clever, typo is the thing you need.
Can anyone write reviews?
Yes. Technically. Erm, that's because even if you do write one, there will be a Staff that will moderate and mangae the reviews and resources, and generally all the other stuff in the site.. Wanna be a part of the Staff? 6_^
I want to write a review! Will you be providing manga for us to give reviews on?
Hmmm… depends… For hard to find, out of print, and otherwise unavailable manga, we might, but here in Manga Addiction, we strongly advocate supporting the mangaka, and what better way to buy their works?!? However, we do see the limitations of that, good thing there are a lot of resources online, scanlators, and kind individuals who post their scans. ^.^ As this is a community, we hope you guys would contribute to our resources as well. :)
I want to write a review! Can I share the manga as well?
Of course! That would actually be the most ideal! This way, more people will be able to appreciate the manga that you like so much, right?!
Now I really want to write a review! …but, I'm not experienced/my English is bad/excuses excuses
^_^ We are not forcing anyone here, this is a community effort after all. If you are busy, we understand. For efficiency and order in the site though, here are a few guidelines:
- You can reserve a manga title to review for a week. Yep, that's seven days after making the claim on the title.
- You can reserve a total of 3 manga at any one time.
- If you feel you can not do the review you reserved, you don't have to wait for the end of the week.
For non-native English speakers, don't worry. Remember that we have a Staff. We are very willing to help you express what you want to say and to improve your written English and writing skills as well. Making mistakes is part of learning, and so is trying hard and helping each other! ^.^
No experience is really not an excuse, it's actually more like the perfect come-on. If you have no experience, why don't you try it right now? Write a review now!!! ^_^
